വിജയിക്കാന്‍ നാവും
സംശയമെന്ത്‌? നമ്മുടെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ ചില വിജയങ്ങളൊക്കെ നാവിന്റെ ഉപയോഗമോ ദുരുപയോഗമോ ആയിക്കൂടി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടാണിരിക്കുന്നത്‌. സംസാരിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടോ സംസാരിക്കാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടോ സംസാരിച്ച രീതി ശരിയാകാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടോ പലപ്പോഴും ജീവിതത്തില്‍ നമ്മള്‍ വിജയങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ പിന്നിലാവുകയോ പരാജയപ്പെടുകയോ ചെയ്‌തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. വാക്ക്‌ അളന്നു തൂക്കി ഉപയോഗിക്കുക. വായ്‌ക്ക്‌ വാതിലും പൂട്ടും നിര്‍മ്മിക്കുക എന്നാണ്‌ ബൈബിള്‍ നമ്മളോട്‌ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നത്‌. കാരണം വാക്കുകള്‍ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ ഉപയോഗിക്കേണ്ട സമ്പാദ്യങ്ങളാണ്‌.
നാവില്‍ അഗ്നിയുമുണ്ട്‌. അഗ്നിയുടെ ഉപയോഗം രണ്ടുതരത്തിലാണെന്ന്‌ നമുക്കറിയാം. അത്‌ ജീവനേകാന്‍ ഉപകരിക്കുന്നു. അതോടൊപ്പം അത്‌ നശിപ്പിക്കാനും ഇടയാകുന്നു. ഒരു വ്യക്തിയെ നാം സ്‌നേഹിക്കുന്നത്‌ അയാളുടെ സംസാരം കൊണ്ടുകൂടിയാണ്‌. അയാളുടെ വാക്കുകളുടെ പ്രയോഗസിദ്ധി കൊണ്ടുകൂടിയാണ്‌. ഏതുകാര്യത്തിന്‌ ചെന്നാലും എപ്പോള്‍ സമീപിച്ചാലും പൊട്ടിത്തെറിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വ്യക്തിയെ സ്‌നേഹിക്കാന്‍ എത്ര പേര്‍ക്ക്‌ സാധിക്കും എന്ന കാര്യത്തില്‍ സംശയമുണ്ട്‌.
ഒരാളുടെ വ്യക്തിത്വത്തിന്റെ അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തല്‍ കൂടിയാണ്‌ അയാളുടെ സംസാരം.. സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെ ചീറി വരുന്ന ഒരാളോട്‌ സൗഹൃദം സ്ഥാപിക്കാന്‍ അധികമാര്‍ക്കും കഴിയില്ല. ചിലരോടൊക്കെ സംസാരിച്ചുപോയല്ലോ എന്ന്‌ പിന്നീട്‌ നമ്മള്‍ പലവട്ടം മനസ്‌തപിച്ചുപോയിട്ടില്ലേ? എന്താണ്‌ കാരണം? ആ സംസാരം അത്രമേല്‍ നമുക്ക്‌ മുറിവുകളുണ്ടാക്കി എന്നുതന്നെ. കീഴുദ്യോഗസ്ഥരോട്‌ തട്ടിക്കയറുന്നതും ഭത്സിക്കുന്നതുമാണ്‌ മേലധികാരിയുടെ പ്രധാനമായ കടമയെന്ന്‌ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഒരുപിടി മേലധികാരികളെങ്കിലും ഇന്ന്‌ നമുക്ക്‌ ചുറ്റിലുമുണ്ട്‌.
ഓട്ടിസം ബാധിച്ച കുട്ടികളെ അടുത്തയിടെ സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ചതിന്‌ ശേഷം നടന്‍ കുഞ്ചാക്കോ ബോബന്‍ പ റഞ്ഞ ഒരു അഭിപ്രായപ്രകടനം ഈ അവസരത്തില്‍ ഓര്‍മ്മ വരുന്നു. നമ്മള്‍ കുട്ടികളെ ബഹളം വച്ചതിന്റെയും മറ്റും പേരില്‍ ശാസിക്കുകയും ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാറുണ്ട്‌. എന്നാല്‍ ശബ്‌ദിക്കാനോ ഓടിക്കളിക്കാനോ ഒന്നും ഭാഗ്യം സിദ്ധിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഈ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ കാണുമ്പോഴാണ്‌ നമ്മുടെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ ദൈവം നല്‌കിയിരിക്കുന്ന മഹാദാനത്തിന്റെ വില നമുക്ക്‌ മനസ്സിലാവുകയുള്ളൂവെന്ന്‌. അതുപോലെ തന്നെയാണ്‌ സംസാരത്തിലൂടെ നാം അനേകരെ മുറിപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോള്‍ സംഭവിക്കുന്നതും. സംസാരിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കാത്ത എത്രയോ വ്യക്തികളുണ്ട്‌ നമ്മുടെ ഈ സമൂഹത്തില്‍. പക്ഷേ സംസാരശേഷിയുള്ളവരായ നാം അതിന്റെ വില മനസ്സിലാക്കാതെ പോകുന്നതും അനേകരെ സംസാരത്തിലൂടെ മുറിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതും എത്രയോ ഖേദകരമാണ്‌! അടുത്തകാലത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു സിനിമയുടെ ശീര്‍ഷകം തന്നെ സംസാരം ആരോഗ്യത്തിന്‌ ഹാനികരം എന്നാണ്‌. അധികം സംസാരിക്കുന്ന നായകനും സംസാരമേ കുറവുള്ള നായികയും. അവരാണ്‌ ഇതിലെ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള്‍.

ഇതില്‍ ഏതുതരം നാവാണ്‌ നമ്മുടേത്‌ എന്ന്‌ ആത്മശോധന നടത്തേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഒരു പക്ഷേ നമ്മുടേത്‌ ഏതു തരം നാവായിരിക്കും എന്ന്‌ നമുക്ക്‌ തന്നെ മനസ്സിലാക്കണമെന്നില്ല. വായ്‌ നാറ്റത്തിന്റെ കാര്യം പറയുന്നതുപോലെയാണത്‌. വഹിക്കുന്നവനല്ല സഹിക്കുന്നവനേ അത്‌ മനസ്സിലാകൂ. എത്ര പേരാണ്‌ നമ്മുടെ നാവിന്റെ ദുരുപയോഗത്തിന്‌ ഇരകളായിട്ടുള്ളത്‌ എന്ന്‌ വെറുതെയൊന്ന്‌ ആലോചിച്ചു നോക്കൂ. കൂടുതല്‍ നന്നായി സംസാരിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുമായിരുന്ന എത്രയോ അവസരങ്ങളാണ്‌ നമ്മള്‍ പാഴാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നത്‌? നാവിനെ നന്നായി ഉപയോഗിച്ചാല്‍ നമ്മുടെ വ്യക്തിബന്ധങ്ങള്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ മെച്ചപ്പെടും. സാമൂഹ്യബന്ധങ്ങള്‍ മെച്ചപ്പെടും. വ്യക്തിപരമായി നമ്മുടെ ജീവിതം തന്നെ ഉയരങ്ങളിലെത്തും. നിങ്ങളുടെ സംസാരം എപ്പോഴും വിനീതവും കരുണാമസൃണവും ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ എന്ന ബൈബിള്‍ വചനം നമ്മുടെ അധരങ്ങളില്‍ എപ്പോഴുമുണ്ടായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

വിശുദ്ധ കൊച്ചുത്രേസ്യയുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ നാമകരണം ഒക്‌ടോബറില്‍
വിശുദ്ധ കൊച്ചുത്രേസ്യയുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ വിശുദ്ധപദവിയിലേക്ക്. ഒക്‌ടോബര്‍ ആദ്യമാകും നാമകരണച്ചടങ്ങ്.ചെറുപുഷ്പം എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ലിസ്യുവിലെ വിശുദ്ധ കൊച്ചുത്രേസ്യയുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ ലൂയി മാര്‍ട്ടിനും (1823-1894) മേരി അസേലി ഗ്വെറിനും (1831-1877) ആണ്. 2008-ല്‍ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവരായി പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഇവരുടെ മധ്യസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള പുതിയ അദ്ഭുതത്തിനു ഫ്രാന്‍സിസ് മാര്‍പാപ്പ ബുധനാഴ്ച അംഗീകാരം നല്‍കി. ഒക്‌ടോബര്‍ നാലുമുതല്‍ 15 വരെ നടക്കുന്ന കുടുംബത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സിനഡിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ചാകും നാമകരണം. കൃത്യ തീയതി ജൂണില്‍ കര്‍ദിനാള്‍മാരുടെ കണ്‍സിസ്റ്ററിയില്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കും. വിശുദ്ധരുടെ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കായുള്ള തിരുസംഘത്തിന്റെ തലവന്‍ കര്‍ദിനാള്‍ ആന്‍ജലോ അമാതോ ബുധനാഴ്ച മാര്‍പാപ്പയെ സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ചാണ് നാമകരണത്തിനായുള്ള ഡിക്രിയില്‍ ഒപ്പുവാങ്ങിയത്.
സ്‌പെയിനിലെ വാലന്‍സിയയിലുള്ള കാര്‍മന്‍ എന്ന പെണ്‍കുട്ടിക്കു ലഭിച്ച രോഗശാന്തിയാണ് അദ്ഭുതമായി അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. മാസംതികയും മുമ്പ് ജനിച്ച ആ കുട്ടിക്ക് നിരവധി മാരകരോഗങ്ങളുണ്ടായിരു്‌നനു. അതിനിടെ മസ്തിഷ്‌ക രക്തസ്രാവവും നേരിട്ടു. മാര്‍ട്ടിന്‍ ദമ്പതികളുടെ മധ്യസ്ഥതയ്ക്കായി കുട്ടിയുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ പ്രാര്‍ഥിച്ചു. കാര്‍മന്‍ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. ഇപ്പോള്‍ ആരോഗ്യവതിയാണ്.
ഇതാദ്യമായാണ് ഒരു വിശുദ്ധയുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ നാമകരണം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നത്. സഭയില്‍ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെയും മക്കളുടെ വളര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെയും പങ്കിനെ ഊന്നിപ്പറയുന്നതാകും ഈ നാമകരണം.
1858-ല്‍ വിവാഹിതരായ ലൂയി മാര്‍ട്ടിനും മേരി ഗ്വെറിനും ഒന്‍പതു മക്കള്‍ ഉണ്ടായി. അഞ്ചു പെണ്‍കുട്ടികള്‍ സന്യസ്തരായി. നാലുപേര്‍ ചെറുപ്പത്തിലേ മരണമടഞ്ഞു. കാന്‍സര്‍ മൂലമാണ് 45-ാം വയസില്‍ മേരി ഗ്വെറിന്‍ മരിച്ചത്.അഗസ്റ്റീനിയന്‍ സന്യാസിയാകാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച ലൂയി മാര്‍ട്ടിന്‍ ലത്തീന്‍ അറിയാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് നിരാകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട ശേഷമാണ് വിവാഹജീവിതത്തിലേക്കു കടന്നത്. മേരി ഗ്വെറിന്റെ ശ്വാസതടസരോഗം കന്യാസ്ത്രീമഠത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രവേശനം നിഷേധിക്കാന്‍ കാരണമായി.

What is Holy Saturday
Holy Saturday is the name given to the day between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Some Christians recognize Holy Saturday, the seventh day of Holy Week, as the day on which Jesus “rested” from His work of providing salvation. As Jesus died, He called out, “It is finished!” There was no further price to pay; sin had been atoned for.
After His crucifixion, Jesus was laid in a nearby tomb, and His body remained there the entirety of Holy Saturday (Matthew 27:59-60;Mark 15:46;Luke 23:53-54;John 19:39-42). Churches that celebrate Holy Saturday traditionally do so by observing a day of somber reflection as they contemplate the world of darkness that would exist without the hope of Christ’s resurrection.
Indeed, without the resurrection of Christ, we would be in dire straits. If Christ had never been raised, “your faith is futile; you are still in your sins” (1 Corinthians 15:17). The disciples had scattered when Jesus was arrested (Mark 14:50), and they spent the first Holy Saturday hiding for fear of also being arrested (John 20:19). The day between Christ’s crucifixion and His resurrection would have been a time of grief and shock as the stunned disciples tried to understand the murder of Jesus, the betrayal of Judas, and the dashing of their hopes.
The only biblical reference to what happened on Holy Saturday is found inMatthew 27:62-66. After sundown on Friday—the day of Preparation—the chief priests and Pharisees visited Pontius Pilate. This visit was on the Sabbath, since the Jews reckoned a day as starting at sundown. They asked Pilate for a guard for Jesus’ tomb. They remembered Jesus saying that He would rise again in three days (John 2:19-21) and wanted to do everything they could to prevent that. As we know, the Roman guards were inadequate to prevent the resurrection, and the women who returned to the tomb Sunday morning found it empty. The Lord had risen.

The Good Samaritan
A teacher of the Law came up and tried to trap Jesus. 'Teacher." he asked,
"What must I do to receive eternal life?"
jesus answered him, "What do the Scriptures say? How do you interpret them?"
The man answered, " 'Love the Lord our God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind'; and 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself' "
"You are right," Jesus replied; "do this and you will live."
But the teacher of the Law wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "Who is my neighbor?"
Jesus answered, "There was once a man who was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho when robbers attacked him, stripped him, and beat him up, leaving him half dead.
It so happened that a priest was going down that road: but when he saw the man, he walked on by on the other side.
In the same way a Levites also came there, went over and looked at the man, and then walked on by on the other side.

But a Samaritan who was traveling that way came upon the man, and when he saw hi, his heart was filled with pity. He went over to him poured oil and wine on his wounds and bandaged them; then he put the man on his own animal and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.
The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Take care of him,' he told the innkeeper, 'and when I come back this way, I will pay you whatever else you spend on him.' "
And Jesus concluded,
"In your opinion, which one of these three acted like a neighbor toward the man attacked by the robbers?"
